Whenever I browse through a seed catalog, I am as wide-eyed as a kid in a candy store.  So many choices and varieties make me want one of each!  My first list of “to purchase” seeds is always insanely long.  Here are a few of my tips to narrow down seed selections.

Yes, I live in the desert.  Yes, I have a greenhouse.  Yes, there are a few differences to running a desert greenhouse as opposed to a traditionally located greenhouse.

Sedums are a genus of plants incorporating around 400 different species of plants.  These plants are succulents and are known for being tough little plants.  They are very popular for use in green roofs for that reason.  A green roof is essentially a garden covering a roof to reclaim water and provide cooling, insulating properties for the structure below.  Sedums are also popular for rock gardens with their shallow root structures and as ground covers.

Ever since Greenhouse Version 2 went up, life has changed on my little acre in the country.  What a whirlwind ride! 

The day has finally arrived that the sink was added to the greenhouse.  All of the plumbing has also been rerouted into a more permanent setup.
